MILAN, ITALY.- Christie's Italy ended a successful week of sales with market leadership across all categories and celebrated a full one-year auction season anniversary in its new Milan premises. Please find below the three top tens for the sales held this week along with a comment from Clarice Pecori Giraldi, Managing Director of Christie's Italy:

"This week's three sales in Milan achieved a total of €23.3 million. Christie's leadership in Italy in the categories of Modern and Contemporary Art, Old Master Pictures and Drawings, and Jewellery and Watches ultimately reflects Christie's dominant position as the world's leading art business. The expertise and unparalleled experience of our international team and their dedication to bringing the highest quality works to the global market were proven by the spectacular results obtained recently in New York, Hong Kong, London, and this week in Milan. In addition, Christie's ability to satisfy an increasing number of sophisticated international clientele is futher underlined by the success of Christie's LIVE™, which was enthusiastically welcomed in Italy by 133 registrants who purchased an approximate total of €540,000 online. Furthermore, circa 1800 international telephone bidders were connected to the Milan saleroom this week."
