WEST PALM BEACH, FL.-palmbeach3 | contemporary art fair is anticipated to attract great deal of attention from all over the world when it returns to Palm Beach for its 11th season on January 11-14, 2008 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. Riding high on unprecedented levels of interest in contemporary art, the fair will offer a compelling, innovative, multi-disciplined exhibition of modern and contemporary art designed to appeal to both new and seasoned art collectors.

The four-day event features a stellar line-up of national and international galleries. Nearly 40 percent of this year’s exhibitors come from abroad – a reflection of the global perspective prevalent in today’s art market. Galleries representing 14 countries will be participating, including exhibitors from Germany, Great Britain, Spain, France, Sweden, Switzerland, Columbia, Israel and Cuba. The galleries will present a range of contemporary art, from museum quality works by art stars like Richter, Rauschenberg and Botero to top works by established mid-career artists as well as the latest from emerging artists -- all in a variety of styles and media.

Last year, palmbeach3 broke records in both sales and attendance; and the fair is building on that momentum with four special exhibitions, a high-profile lecture series, installations, off-site collector events and a Private Preview evening on Thursday, January 10 from 5:30-9:30.

“We are especially excited about presenting an exclusive preview of the Ft. Lauderdale Museum of Art’s upcoming show, Unbroken Ties: Dialogues in Cuban Art.” says Director Fran Kaufman. “As the title suggests, the exhibition focuses on the survival and continuity of Cuban values and the Cuban character, and includes work by Abelardo Morrell, Carlos Luna and Arturo Cuenca, among others.”

palmbeach will be held at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in downtown West Palm Beach January 11-13 from 11a.m.- 7p.m., January14 from 11a.m.- 6 p.m. Admission prices range from $15 for a one-day pass to $30 for a multi-day pass including a catalogue.
