Manuel Borja-Villel Is The New Director For The Reina Sofia Museum
Manuel Borja-Villel.
MADRID, SPAIN.- César Antonio Molina, Spanish Minister of Culture, together with Pilar Citoler, president of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía board, announced today the decision to appointment of Manuel Borja-Villel as director of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía. The Reina Sofia board approved the appointment after evaluating the candidates proposed by the Expert Committee.

Manuel Borja-Villel is currently the director of the MACBA. César Antonio Molina, stated, “Today is a great day and we can all be satisfied. This is the person that the museum deserves. He could be directing any museum in the world.” The minister also stated that the museum had been through complicated and difficult times.
