LONDON.-Twenty-four young Somali school pupils from Lambeth working with Oval House Theatre and renowned visual arts company Cloth of Gold have collaborated together to create an exhibition that values Somali culture and promotes its positive contribution to todays diverse social climate. Known for their hands-on textile approaches Cloth of Gold have worked with practitioners from Oval House and together have helped these young people realise their own creative potential by engaging them in a series of two one-day workshops, resulting in seven screen printed panels that represent the young people's perceptions of Somalia. The final exhibition has already toured to participating schools and other venues in Lambeth.
