The Fourth Annual Art of Photography Show Announces "International Call for Entries"

SAN DIEGO, CA.-The Art of Photography Show, a major international exhibition, announced today their "Call for Entries" to photographers around the globe. This world-class exhibition, which runs April 25 to May 23, 2008 at the elegant Lyceum Theatre Gallery in San Diego's historic Gaslamp Quarter, will feature all forms of photographic art. Entries must be submitted by March 1, 2008. More information on submission guidelines is available below. The judge for The Art of Photography Show is Carol McCusker, who will view all of the entries and decide which images will get exhibited. Dr. McCusker is Curator of Photography at the Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego.

"Our great love of this art form drives us to create a truly excellent presentation of photographic art from around the world," said Steven Churchill, curator and founder of the event. "Our goal is to elevate and promote photographic art and to provide substantial benefits to the exhibiting artists."

The Opening Reception Gala and Awards Ceremony, a free public reception, will take place on April 25, 2008 from 6 to 9 p.m. A total of $5,000 in cash awards will be presented to the top fifteen artists chosen by Dr. McCusker. These top award winning images will be announced on April 25th at the Gala. An estimated 1500 people from all over the world will be in attendance, including most of the exhibiting artists. A free 76-page show catalog will be available during the exhibit, featuring all of the selected images.

About The Art of Photography Show - The fourth annual Art of Photography Show will take place April 25 to May 23, 2008 at the Lyceum Theatre Gallery, located in San Diego's historic Gaslamp Quarter. The mission is to provide a truly "artist oriented" show and to create a world-class presentation of photographic art in San Diego.
