Solo Exhibition: Valentin Toledo's "Unions & Intersections"
Valentin Toledo.
LOS ANGELES, CA.- Metro Gallery presents Valentin Toledo’s solo exhibition, “Unions & Intersections,” a presentation of new works inspired by mathematical principals. Through his choice medium of glass with abstract figures painted with acrylic and polyurethane, this artist explores the relationships between pure line, color, and volume, the sum of which define space. His abstract verging on figurative style is undoubtedly European. The exhibit will be on display from March 29th, 2008 to May 3rd, 2008. Please join us for the opening Saturday, March 29th, 2008, from 6-9pm.

Born and raised in Spain, Toledo was a successful illustrator for European high-fashion magazines such as Vogue, Marie Clair, and Elle, among others. He then spent several years working as an Editorial Art Director. However, in pursuit of a radical change of life, Toledo set out for Los Angeles, California. LA’s eclecticism and absence of preconceptions brought a sense of liberation that led to these authentic and honest works.
