China Design Now Opens at Liberty

LONDON.- March sees the launch of China Design Now at Liberty, a showcase of modern Chinese design in collaboration with the V&A’s Spring exhibition. This homage to contemporary Chinese fashion, photography, art and design will include an amazing photographic installation that uses 20,000 plastic toys, a Tea Bar that will offer special medicinal teas, an exhibition of stunning Madam Butterfly costumes by renowned Chinese designer Han Feng and furniture that cleverly combines tradition and modernity to striking effect. There will also be a programme of short films made by Chinese filmmakers, all of whom are defining contemporary culture in modern China. This collection of short films will present a compelling portrait of China today.
