CHADDS FORD, PA.- The decorative craft of rolled-paper filigree, also known as quilling, was popular among European and American women in the 17th and 18th centuries. Long, thin strips of colored or gilded paper were rolled tightly into different shapes and arranged to create beautiful designs. This exhibition features 15 pieces made by local craftswoman, Ann Martin, that present contemporary approaches displayed with several 18th-century examples that provide a historical context for this rare craft.
