Award-Winning Chelsea Modern Draws International Crowd
Chelsea Modern
NEW YORK.- In the heart of Chelsea, at 447 West 18th Street, Chelsea Modern, is ready to welcome its new residents. In a neighborhood where prominent contemporary art galleries meet an emerging residential hotspot, Chelsea Modern has become one of the area's most distinguished buildings.

"The anticipation and buzz about Chelsea Modern has been staggering, and we're excited to be opening the doors to this award-winning building," said Robert Gladstone, CEO of Madison Equities. "Chelsea Modern has been drawing a well-traveled and international crowd, including artists, photographers, people in the fashion industry as well as finance. The mix of residents showcases the diversity of New York and the allure of this neighborhood and building."

Designed by world-renowned architect Audrey Matlock, Chelsea Modern has earned Excellence in Architecture awards from the American Institute of Architects and the Society of American Registered Architects. The 47-unit building's undulating glass exterior is outfitted in blue-tinted and clear glass that shifts in and out across the surface. The bold edifice is eye-catching both from the street and inside the homes.

Matlock herself created the interiors, ensuring that the residences will echo the building's meticulously designed exterior. Open kitchens are swashed in light and equipped with professional and ergonomic fittings. The amenities enhance residents' ease of lifestyle, with a concierge/doorman, fitness center and landscaped roof deck featuring 360-degree views of Manhattan.

"West Chelsea has become a coveted area in which to own a home," according to Elaine Diratz, Managing Director of Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group, the exclusive sales and marketing firm for the development. "Residents of Chelsea Modern have already realized an appreciation in their home values especially in light of the high end new developments coming to market in the next year."
