InterContinental Chicago O'Hare Names Editions Limited Curator of Its Exclusive Museo Art Gallery
ROSEMONT.- The 560-room luxury InterContinental Chicago O’Hare opening September 8, recently named Editions Limited Gallery, an international purveyor of original art and sculptures, as the curator of its on-site art gallery, “Museo”. The art gallery, a rare feature in a hotel, complements a cultural philosophy that celebrates art and culture throughout the distinguished property. “The ‘museo’ concept showcases how the hotel embraces the arts – sculpture, canvas, architecture, photography, music and culinary – enhancing our guests’ stay and fueling a passion for experiencing culture,” said General Manager David Hall. ‘Where an Authentic Experience is the New Luxury,’ the InterContinental Chicago O’Hare, managed by Portfolio Hotels & Resorts in Oak Brook, IL, is taking the arts in hospitality to new heights.

Established in 1969, The Editions Limited Gallery of Indianapolis, IN, www.editionsltd.com has built a reputation for quality and professionalism unsurpassed in its field, with its extensive experience in obtaining limited edition works, original artwork, and beautiful sculptures both locally and internationally. “We are a perfect fit for the InterContinental Chicago O’Hare and are thrilled to team up with such a world-class venue”, said Chris Mallon, co-curator of Museo and co-owner of Editions Limited Gallery, and co-curator GK Rowe, owner of Q7, LLC, an experience design firm that enhances the art experience within hospitality and corporate industries.

InterContinental Chicago O’Hare and Editions Limited will celebrate the hotel’s grand opening with the esteemed exhibition, “Connections”, which will display local and international artwork that represents “the point at which two or more things are joined”. Featured artwork in the opening collection, which will be available for six months, includes Max and Gaby’s Alphabet” color etchings by Illinois native Tony Fitpatrick and silkscreen celebrity mug shots by internationally acclaimed artist Russell Young. In addition, original artwork by Chicago-area artists is also found throughout the hotel.
