Jean Paul Goude, Naomi in Bazaar.
MIAMI.- Art Photo Expo Miami, South Florida‟s progressive organization for contemporary photography, presents the second annual In Fashion Photo exhibition – a superlative presentation of signature collections from the world‟s leading fashion photographers. The exhibition takes place at its new location, Municipal Parking Lot #54, between NE 2nd Avenue and NE 1st Court in Miami‟s trendy Design District, through December 7, during Art Basel 2008.

In Fashion Photo features an exclusive collection of more than 250 contemporary works of photographic art by more than 35 of the world‟s leading icons in fashion photography that are on sale to collectors and art enthusiasts throughout the six-day exhibition. Representing more than 15 countries in five continents, some of the most globally esteemed names from the fashion photo world are exhibiting their work, including Slim Aarons, Miles Aldridge, Olivia Beasley, Michael Dweck, Arthur Elgort, Charles Frčger, Erwan Frotin, Alice Hawkins, Steve Hiett, Greg Kadel, Markus Klinko & Indrani, Alix Malka, Simon Procter, Bettina Rheims, Sofia Sanchez & Mauro Mongiello, Lawrence Schiller, Jeanloup Sieff, Bharat Sikka, Solve Sundsbo, Michael Thompson and Albert Watson, Walter Chin, Greg Lotus, Ron Kedmi, Willy Rizzo, and Chen Man among others. This prestigious group of internationally acclaimed photographers is collectively exhibiting the most celebrated work under one roof, establishing In Fashion Photo as one of the most progressive photo expositions in the world today. Patrick Remy, acclaimed art critic and European fashion authority, will serve as the exhibits curator.

The exhibition alsos feature an unprecedented Naomi Campbell Retrospective collection of photography by many of today‟s most respected fashion photographers who have captured the supermodel‟s elegance and cutting-edge glamour over the years, including Gilles Bensimon, Walter Chin, Sante D’Orazio, Patrick Demarchelier, Arthur Elgort, Simon Harris, Seb Janiak, David LaChapelle, Steven Meisel, André Rau, Miguel Reveriego, Bettina Rheims, Paul Rowland, Mario Sorrenti, Giampaolo Sgura, Rene Habermacher, Jannis Tsipoulanis, Mario Testino, Michael Thompson, Ellen Von Unwerth, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, and Albert Watson. The Naomi Campbell Retrospective‟s creator and Art Director is Jean Luc Brunel. This unrivalled collection of work was exclusively unveiled in person by Naomi Campbell as part of her special visit to Miami for In Fashion Photo.

“The time of art speaking through only paintings and sculptures is over. Today, photography is one of the most artistic representations of both society and contemporary art as it captures raw emotion and immortalizes a moment in time,” says Francois Trabelsi, founder of Art Photo Expo Miami and In Fashion Photo. “Our inaugural exhibition during Art Basel Miami Beach last year was an unprecedented success. In addition to being the largest gallery of fashion photography in the world, In Fashion Photo provides the key to cities worldwide to serve as a stage for established and emerging photo galleries that wish to exhibit their work and represent the industry in its best form. Photography is an art form understandable and accessible by all.”

The aim of In Fashion Photo by Art Photo Expo Miami is to project a new look at fashion photography, through the presentation of strong and original images from upcoming talent, along with images from the pioneers of fashion photography who are still considered today‟s undisputed leaders.

In Fashion Photo takes place December 2 through December 7, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily at Municipal Parking Lot #54, between NE 2nd Avenue and NE 1st Court in Miami‟s Design District. Featured photography at In Fashion Photo will be available for purchase throughout the duration of the exhibit. Entrance to the exhibition will cost $10.
