The Chouinard Foundation Announces the Beginning of the Chouinard Online Auction
LOS ANGELES, CA.- In June of 2007, the Chouinard School of Art was granted a prestigious partnership agreement with the LA City Department of Recreation and Parks and the Office of the Mayor in order to bring our renowned art education program to the youth of Los Angeles via the recreation system of the City. Their innovative program includes teaching the basics - drawing, painting and design and also includes field trips. The faculty are all excellent artist/teachers in the tradition of the original school. Their stellar Adjunct Faculty includes renowned artists such as Guy Dill, Laddie John Dill, Peter Shire, Magu Lujan and others, giving our students a direct connection into the into the studios and practice of some of LA's most celebrated artists. A program of this caliber, of course, also costs money to produce, which explains the launch of their ongoing Online Auction. That they have hundreds of artists that support them will ensure a high quality and varied auction.

The Chouinard Online Auction is a continuous auction of high-quality art created by Chouinard-related artists. Much of the art is directly donated to the foundation by these artists or comes out of their large collection. Proceeds from the Chouinard Online Auction go directly toward funding their art program know as Chouinard at LA Rec & Parks. The first round of art pieces up for auction is going from February 9th through February 19th. Participation is simple. Log on to Ebay, do an advanced search by seller and type in "chouinard1020" to locate Chouinard art and bid!
