In addition, as a former Lord Mayor of Sydney , Lucy brings an intimate understanding of the citys cultural and governance landscape. Lucy Turnbull currently holds a number of leadership roles in both the business and community sectors, including: Board Director, Melbourne IT; Board Member, Redfern-Waterloo Authority; Chair, Salvation Armys City of Sydney Red Shield Appeal; Deputy Chair, Committee for Sydney; Board Member, Centre for Independent Studies; Board Member, NSW Cancer Institute; Board Member, Redfern Foundation Limited; and Board Member, Turnbull Foundation.
Lucy Turnbull served as Sydneys Lord Mayor (200304) and Deputy Lord Mayor (19992003). She was the first woman to hold both these positions. She also served as a Councillor on the City of Sydney Council from 19992004 and chaired many council initiatives, including the Central Sydney Planning Committee, the Planning, Transport and Development Committee and the Finance and Audit Committee. For many years Lucy Turnbull worked as a solicitor and investment banker.
