Two Fairs in One
Satellite fairs of designers and artists have been popping up around main art fairs around the globe; consider Design Miami and the PooL Art Fair during Art Basel Miami Beach. The same situation has existed between art and craft / artist and artisan for years. Putting aside haggard distinctions from the fine art and craft worlds, the American Craft Show and the Contemporary Art Fair provide a unique venue for independent artists and artisans to exhibit side-by-side while providing a refreshing vantage point for collectors and enthusiasts.
