DALLAS, TX.- Dallas Auction Gallery will kick-off the spring with an outstanding Antiques and Fine Art Auction on April 25th at 6pm CST. The sale will feature exceptional signed French furniture and 20th century fine art from a local Dallas collection including a pair of Pierre IV Migeon tulipwood corner cabinets estimated to sell between $175,000 and $225,000 and an exceptional piece by Carlos Cruz-Diez estimated to sell between $150,000 and $250,000.

Highlights from the April 25th auction include:

· Lot 127- Pr. Pierre IV Migeon tulipwood corner cabinets, each having a conforming rouge griotte marble top, over a single serpentine door inlaid with curling vines, framed by a pierced ormolu rocaille cartouche, raised by short cabriole legs ending in sabots, the whole mounted with ormolu scrolls. One stamped, "MIGEON", both stamped, "JME"; with mark of the Duke of Penthievre. Pierre IV Migeon (French, 1696-1758). Provenance: The Duke of Penthievre; by descent Anatole Demidoff, Prince of San Donato; Prince Paul of Yugoslavia, Villa Demidoff, Pratolino; Sotheby's London, Villa Demidoff sale 1969, lot 268; Galerie J. Kugel, Paris; Private Collection, Dallas, TX. Estimate: $175,000-$225,000.00

· Lot 117: Carlos Cruz-Diez, "Physichromie no. 511" extruded PVC, Casein (Plaka), and acrylic inserts mounted on plywood with an aluminum strip frame. Frame: 40"H x 95.25"W. Signed, titled and dated 1970 on the reverse. Carlos Cruz-Diez (Venezuelan, b. 1923) is known for his Kinetic art. Exhibited: XXXV Biennale de Venezia, Venice, Italy 1970. Provenance: Galerie Denise Rene, Paris; Denise Rene New York Inc. Literature: Color in Space and Time Carlos Cruz-Diez, edited by Mari Carmen Ramirez and Hector Olea, published by The Museum of Fine Arts Houston, p. 454. Estimate: $150,000-$250,000.00

· Lot 134: Attr. to Pierre IV Migeon Louis XV commode of rosewood, satinwood and palissander, having a Breche d'Alep marble top and ormolu mounts, the two front drawers inlaid with vines and foliate sprays framed within a rocaille cartouche, the sides en suite, with ormolu pulls and escutcheons, above a serpentine apron, raised by cabriole legs ending in sabots. Pierre IV Migeon (French, 1696-1758). Provenance: Rothschild Collection; Galerie J. Kugel, Paris; Private Collection, Dallas, TX. Estimate: $100,000-$150,000.00

· Lot 121: Julio Fernandez Larraz, "Discovery" oil on canvas. Signed upper right; titled and signed verso. Julio Fernandez Larraz (Cuban, b. 1944) is a contemporary Latin American painter known for his still life and figurative paintings. Provenance: From the Private Collection of the Artist; Private Collection, Dallas, TX. Estimate: $80,000-$120,000.00

· Lot 131: Rene Francisco, "Pais" oil painting on canvas. Signed, titled and dated verso. Rene Francisco (Cuban, b. 1960) layers paint on his canvas with a spatula, using a pointillist technique. Most of his paintings have sociological and political themes. Provenance: Pan American ArtProjects, Miami, FL; Private Collection, Dallas, TX. Estimate: $50,000-$60,000.00

· Lot 136: Johnnie Winona Ross, "Salt Creek Seeps 2003" oil painting on linen. Signed, titled and dated verso. Johnnie Winona Ross (American, b. 20th C.) creates heavily worked and highly polished abstract landscapes. The title of this piece is in reference to a site the artist visited frequently in southeast Utah, where water erodes and stains the face of a rocky canyon. Provenance: Richard Levy Gallery, Santa Fe, NM; Private collection, Dallas, TX. Estimate: $25,000-$35,000.00

· Lot 120: H. Conquet Louis XVI style commode a ventaux after a model by Benemen and Stockel, having a rectangular white marble top above three ormolu mounted frieze drawers, the center with a lion mask flanked by foliate scrolls, the front and sides centered by jasperware plaques depicting classical scenes within an elaborate scrolled foliate surround, two large doors open to an interior fitted with six drawers, the apron with ribbon tied ormolu swags, raised on toupie feet with cast leaf capped sabots. Tag stamped, "H. Conquet/27 Bd. des Italiens/Paris". Estimate: $20,000-$30,000.00

· Lot 103: E. Kahn Louis XVI style kidney shaped desk with ormolu mounts in the manner of Adam Weisweiler, having a pierced gallery top above five drawers, flanking a clock ringed in ribbon tied garland, with a leather writing surface, the apron ormolu mounted with sphinx and a central medallion, the winged caryatid legs raised by turned feet connected by "C" shaped stretchers. Clock signed, "Le Roy Paris"; some mounts indistinctly marked "LK", one marked "F", in the style of Francois Linke. The construction techniques used in this piece are very similar to those of Linke, with whom E. Kahn maintained a long business relationship. Estimate: $8,000-$12,000.00

· Lot 128: Pr. Venetian carved gilt and etched glass mirrors, each featuring an elaborately carved gilt wood frame surmounted by a shell crest, flanked by pierced scrolls and flowers, the upper plate etched with scenes of classical beauties. Estimate: $8,000-$12,000.00
