LONDON.- The third edition of the contemporary art in editions fair, Multiplied, returns to Christie’s South Kensington this October. Christie’s announced forty-one international contemporary galleries will be participating, in what continues to be the UK’s only contemporary print fair. Once again the salerooms in South Kensington will be transformed during Frieze week. The fair will be open to the public with free admission from 12-15 October 2012.

Murray Macaulay, Director, Multiplied, commented: “Multiplied Art Fair celebrates all that is new and vibrant in contemporary art in editions from all over the world - from Oaxaca to Philadelphia, Paris to New York, Barcelona to Dublin, and Shoreditch to Deptford. Featuring print, digital art and photography, artist’s books and 3-D multiples, Multiplied really is an excellent way to connect with contemporary art. Not only will there be the chance to see new works by rising stars and established superstars – you can also buy the art without breaking the bank! Prices start from £100 to £20,000.”

Multiplied 2012 will feature a carefully curated selection of forty-one contemporary galleries from around the world. Amongst this year’s exhibitors are leading tertiary fine art print facilities, The LeRoy Neiman Centre for Print Studies, Columbia University, New York, and The Centre for Fine Print Research, Bristol, UK, culminating in a specially curated exhibition for Multiplied of recent MA graduates from the Royal College of Art, London. Other newcomers include Bearspace, Deptford, Grey Area Editions and LN Editions, Paris, Ediciones Originales, Barcelona, Philagraphika, Philadelphia, as well as not-for-profits Eastern Pavilions, a collective of 11 visual arts organisations from the East of England, and London’s Parasol Unit Foundation.

The fair will showcase some of the best home grown talents as well as a number of international artists. Rising stars will be presented alongside well-known contemporary artists from Manifold Editions, Karsten Schubert, TAG Fine Art, Sims Reed, Riflemaker, Tristan Barbara Editions, and the Whitechapel Gallery.

The fair will build upon the success of the original Multiplied model launched in 2010 with exciting new works to be launched, a tailored programme of art events in collaboration with Christie’s Education and Art Wednesday, and a themed pop-up cafe by William Norris & Company.
