SAN FRANCISCO, CA.- Bonhams looks forward to presenting its first Fine and Rare Wines auction of 2013 on March 9 in San Francisco, simulcast in New York and Los Angeles. Highlights of the sale will include a notable range of wines from Sine Qua Non, a collection of superb Burgundies and numerous top wines from Bordeaux and California.

Especially of note will be an impressive assortment of Sine Qua Non wines, covering the vintages from 1996 through 2010. Among the many Wine Advocate “100 Point” Sine Qua Non wines in this range which will be included are the 2002 Just For The Love Of It Syrah (est. $550-$650/bottle), the 2003 The Inaugural Eleven Confessions Syrah (est. $600-$700/bottle) and the 2004 Poker Face Syrah (est. $420-$550/bottle).

Also featured will be a San Francisco collection containing an array of rare Burgundies from some of the region’s finest producers, including such notables as Comte de Vogüé, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Dujac, J.F. Mugnier, Leroy and Ponsot. Highlights will include the 1993 Domaine Arnand Rousseau Chambertin (est. $1,200-$1,600/bottle), the 1990 Leroy Richebourg (est. $1,200-$1,600/bottle) and the 1993 J.F. Mugnier Musigny (est. $1,300- $1,700/bottle).

Another important offering will be an immaculate collection of first and second-growth Bordeaux from the great vintages of 1982, 1986 and 1989. These wines are all single-owner, “en primeur” purchases, which have been stored professionally since delivery. Highlights include the 1982 Château Lafite Rothschild (one dozen bottles, est. $25,000-$35,000), the 1982 Chateau Mouton Rothschild (one dozen bottles, est. $9,000-$12,000) and the 1989 Chateau Haut Brion (one dozen bottles, est. $11,000-$15,000).

Also not to be missed will be a selection of top California Cabernet Sauvignons, including various vintages from Abreu, Araujo, Colgin, Dominus and Harlan, of varying estimates, from a Northern California collector.
