Interior Decorator Suzie Frankfurt, 73, Dies
BRONX, N.Y.- Interior decorator Suzie Frankfurt, 73, and an early collaborator of Andy Warhol, died, reported The New York Times. Designer Gianni Versace credited Ms. Frankfurt with introducing him to America and to Studio 54. She was born Suzanne Allen on August 21, 1931, in Los Angeles. She married Stephen O. Frankfurt, a graphic designer, in 1956. She later became one of the world's most admired interior decorators. Among her clients were Robert Redford, Robert Mapplethorpe and David L. Paul, a Florida bank chairman. She met Andy Warhol in 1959. They produced "Wild Raspberries," together.
