Cultural Heritage Memorandum Signed by Iran and Georgia
TEHRAN, IRAN.-Iran and Georgia have just signed a memorandum of understanding in the fields of cultural heritage and tourism. The agreement was signed between Iranian and Georgian sides in the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization’s international affairs office yesterday. Based on this agreement, the two sides also agreed to boost mutual ties, including publication of brochures, catalogues, exchange of archeological teams, and participating at excavations in ancient sites, the renovation of the two countries’ historical monuments, and the exchange of students and human task force.

Regarding the issue of the tourism, the two sides are now committed to improve their bilateral cooperation in the different fields of tourism industry, including exchange of lists, hotels and travel agencies’ managers, TV, radio, evaluation of the two sides’ potential, investment, promotion, exchange of experts, and making the tourism affairs easy for the two countries’ peoples.

Moreover, the two sides of the agreement voiced readiness to establish a Tehran-Tbilisi-Moscow airway and Tbilisi-Tehran and another third destination which will be announced later.
