Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art Presents Avant Garden
BOULDER, CO.- The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA) will host the 3rd annual Avant Garden: A Floral Celebration of Art on Saturday and Sunday, March 19 and 20. BMoCA has invited innovative floral and landscape designers to develop distinctive arrangements abstracted from artwork selected from the collections of Boulder and Denver-art galleries. Each designer will be challenged to use their knowledge of botanical materials, visual art and space. This fabulous and festive event is a benefit for BMoCA.

On Saturday, March 19, from 6:30-10:30 PM, BMoCA will host a celebration dinner for the event. Dine amongst unique floral designs inspired by works of contemporary visual art. Guests will enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and live music as they view the Avant Garden exhibit. A dinner will follow, with chefs from Boulder's finest restaurants creating gourmet meals for each table in the BMoCA galleries. Following the dinner, guests can enjoy coffee and after dinner drinks in the BMoCA upstairs performance space with a jazz piano set by Eric Leonard.

The following day, Sunday, March 20 BMoCA invites the public to tour the exhibit while enjoying an afternoon of tea and creative workshops. The Avant Garden exhibit will be on view from 11:00AM-4:00 PM. Tickets are $12 general admission, $10 students/seniors, and $8 for BMoCA members. Children 12 and under are free.

Avant Garden is presented by Faegre & Benson LLP and sponsored by the Bodin Team. Participating restaurants include the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse, Jax, Mateo. Participating galleries include Art and Soul, Smith Klein, Mary Williams Fine Art, Exhibitrek, Robischon Gallery, Studio Aiello, and Rule Gallery.
