Casino Night Fundraiser Featuring Contemporary Art
CLAREMONT, CA.- CLAREMONT, CALIFORNIA - The Webb Schools will hold its annual fundraiser, “Casino Night,” on Saturday, April 9, 2005. A highlight of this event is an ART AUCTION featuring contemporary art curated by Andi Couwenberg of Alta Loma. The art auction includes work by these nationally renowned artists: Dawn Arrowsmith, Alexander Couwenberg, Wess Dahlberg, Moira Hahn, Barbara Kerwin, Robert Kingston, Roland Reiss, Meg Rowntree, Michael Salerno, and Steve Scudder.

Proceeds from the Casino Night Art Auction will benefit Webb’s Visual & Performing Arts Program with the construction of a new Scene Shop. Students will be able to use this addition to design and construct props and sets for school performances.

Since 1922, The Webb Schools have provided an outstanding educational environment for students in grades nine through 12. Webb is recognized as one of our nation’s leading high schools. A unique component of Webb’s campus is the Raymond M. Alf Museum of Paleontology--home to a world-class collection of fossils and paleontological treasures.

Many other wonderful auction items will be available for bid: a one week stay at the Mayan Sea Garden Resort in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico; a three night stay on Lombard Street in San Francisco; a Newport Beach harbor cruise aboard a 55’ yacht, followed by dinner for six at the Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club; an evening of private stargazing for eight at the Webb Observatory; wine, golf packages and jewelry.
