Online Art Auction by Galapagos Conservation Trust
LONDON, UK.- The Galapagos Conservation Trust will hold an online auction to help save the endangered plants of Galapagos. This online auction is part of a very special and unique exhibition of paintings, drawings and other art, by professional artists and celebrity supporters of GCT. For example, you can bid for an original colour drawing by Andrew Marr or a pen and ink cartoon by Alan Titchmarsh, amongst many others. There will also be the opportunity to buy a picture by either established artists or up coming young artists. For example, Robert Burton - a fantastic young painter whose work is bound to increase in value as he becomes better known.

The exhibition will be held at (in Hoopers South, downstairs in the Gallery), 15 Clerkenwell Close, London EC1R 0AA, on the 5th April 2005. Entry to the Private View on the 5th April is free, but tickets must be reserved in advance by contacting Abi in the GCT office (email abigail@gct.org or phone 020 7629 5049). The exhibition will run until the 8th April.

All proceeds from the evening will go towards conservation in Galapagos, particularly towards essential monitoring and research in the Botany department, where without the vegetation many animals would not be able to exist.
