Hollis Jeffcoat Curated Painting Exhibition

CORAL GABLES, FLORIDA.-The University of Miami’s C.A.S. Gallery and the Department of Art and Art History will host a curated painting exhibition featuring works by Hollis Jeffcoat. This exhibition will run from September 20 to October 14, 2005. Jeffcoat’s paintings evolve towards abstraction and are firmly rooted in nature, a distillation of her reaction to the landscapes which inspire her work.

The artist’s reception will take place on September 23rd, 2005, from 7 to 9 p.m. The exhibition can be viewed Tuesday through Friday and the second Saturday of each month, noon to 4 p.m. Hollis Jeffcoat has exhibited extensively in New York, Paris, Montreal and the United States, and her work is featured in many private and corporate collections including those of Pierre Matisse in New York, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, The Brooklyn Museum in New York and The Museum of Contemporary Art in Montreal, Canada.
