MIAMI.- Art Miami has had an enthusiastic response to moving its dates forward to December 6-10, bringing it closer to the other Miami art fairs. In fact, it has decided to expand the size of the new venue from 80,000 square feet to 100,000 square feet, offering more booth and aisle space than the other shows.
Responding to the expansive December art scene in Miami and recognizing existing gaps in the artwork being presented at that time, Art Miami decided to move its dates forward from January to be more convenient for exhibitors. At the same time, it will join its art world peers with an updated look and feel. This year, Art Miami will be held in a custom-designed, air-conditioned tent in the Wynwood Gallery District.
“As we move this show to its new location and time frame, we wanted to take this opportunity to introduce a new artistic direction and format,” said Ilana Vardy, Art Miami’s Show Director. “The larger pavilion will allow us to provide the exhibitors with bigger booths, wider aisles, more public spaces such as the lounges and bars, and a much more luxurious experience overall.”
The 18th anniversary of Art Miami will present both established and lesser-known international galleries showcasing modern and contemporary artwork in a stylish setting. The work covers a broad scope of styles and media in a more accessible price range, providing an attractive alternative to Art Basel.
