Calatrava Anyone? Streeterville's SOAR Celebrates Art and Ar
CHICAGO.-Six signed watercolor sketches of the Chicago Spire by Santiago Calatrava headline an art-filled collection of auction items for the Streeterville Organization of Active Residents benefit/auction. BLUEPRINTs II, Monday, August 13, 6-9 p.m. at the Museum of Contemporary Art , 220 E. Chicago Avenue will also feature a Flamenco performance, appetizers and dinner by Wolfgang Puck.

Additional auction items include: Vintage mid-century modern sterling silver charm bracelet with matchbook charms-like Chez Paree, Marshall Fields, and the like Behind the scenes private tour of Farnsworth House. Two-hour tour of Hidden Streeterville personally led by Rolf Achilles.

In addition to the food, auction, music, entertainment and museum exhibits, the event will include honoring the MCA as the first recipient of the SOAR “Pillars of the Community” honor. Event co-chairs are Mary Baim and Katrina Schmitt.

Bounded by Lake Michigan, the Chicago River, Rush Street and East Lake Shore Drive/Oak Street, Streeterville is home to 25,000 residents, the North Michigan Avenue “Magnificent Mile” as well as Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Northwestern University, hotels, restaurants, museums, theaters and shopping malls.
