MEXICO CITY.- The Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporaneo presents Nocturns - a review of the museum’s collection, on view August 16 through October 7, 2007. This will be the second review of the museum’s collection presented this year and includes paintings, drawings, sculptures and installations relating to the night and extended through the space of dreams, secrets, anxiety and violence.

Tobias Ostrander, art curator at the museum, states that the title of the exhibition makes reference to the musical compositions inspired in the night. He adds that the structure of the exhibition makes the visual and conceptual dialogue of the 24 works possible. The exhibition includes Tired Town by Max Ernst, The Corridor by George Segal, works recently donated by artists such as Mark Rothko, Peter Fischli, David Weiss, and Shi Yong.
