DALLAS, TX.- A one-of a-kind half sheet movie poster to RKO's 1932 thriller The Most Dangerous Game, starring Joel McCrea, Fay Wray and Leslie Banks as the evil hunter, is expected to bring more than $25,000 when it comes to auction as part of Heritage Auctions' Nov. 18-19 Vintage Movie Poster event, with more than 1,400 rare lots on offer.

"Posters from this film rarely surface," said Grey Smith, Director of Vintage Movie Posters at Heritage, "and when they do, they are rarely in such gorgeous condition as this one. We expect a smart collector will take full advantage of the opportunity to own this piece and bid accordingly."

One of the most important offerings in the auction comes in the form of classic comedy as the only known copy of the one sheet to the Three Stooges in Three Little Beers (1935) is expected to command $30,000+.

"Interest in the Three Stooges is always high," said Smith. "When you combine that with the rarity of this poster, and factor in the excitement over the upcoming 2012 biopic of the Stooges, this piece becomes even more of a hot commodity."

The horror genre, as ever, remains at the top of the pile in the vintage movie poster hobby, and this auction is deep with superb treasures from some of the rarest and most sought-after titles, including a title lobby card to Universal Studio's The Raven (1935) starring Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff, one of only a handful still known to exist. The card carries a pre-auction estimate of $18,000+.

The Wolf Man (1941), Lon Chaney's starring role as the man bitten by a wolf and his descent into the nightmare of lycanthropy, is one of the greatest horror classics and Heritage is offering the half sheet and the title lobby card to this great film, estimated at $14,000+ and $4,500+, respectively. In 1943 the studio created another classic with Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man, and a spectacular one sheet from that film is expected to bring more than $8,500 when it crosses the block.

Other horror highlights include the only three lobby cards that picture star Boris Karloff in the Universal classic The Old Dark House (1932), including a portrait card in the set estimated at $7,500, a rare window card from Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde (1932) starring Fredric March, estimated at $10,000+ and a wonderful large French poster for the 1933 horror classic King Kong, estimated at $14,000+.

Further highlights include, but certainly are not limited to:

*Walt Disney's Alice the Golf Bug (1927): The only known copy of the poster to this lost animated short by Disney, just prior to his development of Mickey Mouse. Estimate: $6,000+.

*The Devils is a Woman (1935): Style B one sheet to this Marlene Dietrich and Joseph Von Sternberg classic. Estimate: $15,000+.

*The 39 Steps (1935): Gorgeous one sheet to Alfred Hitchcock's British classic suspense thriller. Estimate: $10,000+.

*The Wizard of Oz (1939): A lovely title card to one of the greatest musical fantasies ever made. Estimate: $8,000+.

*The Blue Angel (1930): Only known copy of the British Double Crown poster for Marlene Dietrich's breakout role. Estimate: $8,000+.

*Dracula (1931): Wonderful portrait card to the ultimate horror classic. Estimate: $8,000+.

*Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956): Rare Style B "Spotlight Dance" half sheet. Estimate: $7,000+.

*Flash Gordon (1936): One sheet to the most famous space serial of all-time. Estimate: $7,000+.

*Ladies They Talk About (1933): Fantastic Alberto Vargas image of a young Barbara Stanwyck. Estimate: $6,000+.

*Anna Christie (1930): Rare stone litho one sheet for Greta Garbo's first sound film. Estimate: $5,000+.

*This Island Earth (1955): Wonderful large format 40" X 60" Style Y poster. Printed in very small quantities, this copy is one of just a handful known to exist. Estimate: $5,000+.
