This year, Haunch of Venison celebrates its fifth year exhibiting at TEFAF Maastricht 2012

LONDON.- Haunch of Venison announced it will exhibit at TEFAF Maastricht 2012 (16-25 March) alongside over 260 galleries and antique dealers from around the world. Situated in TEFAF Modern, on stand 525, Haunch of Venison will show a group of internationally renowned artists work that closely relates to the gallery's program, including: Enrico Castellani, Leon Ferrari, Richard Long, Nancy Holt, Giuseppe Penone, Pierre Soulages, Afro, Lucio Fontana, and Ahmed Alsoudani.

Haunch of Venison's selection will encompass both contemporary and mature works such as Giuseppe Penonefs Ripertere il bosco]frammento 27, 2007, Gunther Uecker Schwarze Spirale, 1994, and Enrico Castellani es Superficie angolare cromata 2010-2011. Haunch of Venison will also be presenting works by Lucio Fontana and Afro, to coincide with Haunch of Venison's New York exhibition Afro Burri Fontana (08 March - 28 April 2012), and new works by Iraqi-American artist Ahmed Alsoudani.

TEFAF Maastricht, founded in 1988, was the result of a merger between Pictura Fine Art Fair (1975), and Antique Maestricht (1978). The fair is divided into nine sections: Paintings, Antiques, Modern, Manuscripts, Classical Antiquities, Haute Joaillerie, Design, Paper, and Showcase. TEFAF Modern occupies a quarter of the exhibition and gathers forty-five top international dealers to present a selection of 20th and 21st century art.

Ahmed Alsoudani (b 1975, Baghdad, Iraq) Lives and works in New York. Ahmed has a BFA from Maine College Of Art and an MFA from Yale University School Of Art. Afro (b 1912 ‐ d 1976) Italian, studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence. Enrico Castellani (b 1930, Italy) Studied painting and sculpture at the Académie des Beaux Arts , and Architecture at the École Nationale Supérieure in Belgium. Giuseppe Penone (b 1947, Italy ). Penone emerged through the late 1960s and 1970s as an exponent of Arte Povera. Leon Ferrari (b 1920, Argentina.) Is a contemporary
conceptual artist, using collage, photocopying, and sculpture with wood, plaster and ceramics. Nancy Holt (b 1938, U.S.) Works with film, video, installation and sound art within the fields of Conceptual art and Land Art. Richard Long (b 1945, England) Graduated from St Martin’s School of Art and Design and has been at the forefront of art for forty years, pioneering new ideas and directions in earth, minimal and conceptual art.
