Klunk & Millan develops mobile app for Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley
"The app is easy to use and automatically keeps Museum calendar and exhibit information up-to-date," says Dan Agostinelli, director of interactive services at Klunk & Millan.
ALLENTOWN, PA.- Klunk & Millan Advertising, a full-service marketing and interactive design agency, has developed the Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley’s first mobile app for on-the-go event and exhibit information. The app is free and currently available for download to iPhone® and iPad® users through the Apple iTunes® store.

"The app is easy to use and automatically keeps Museum calendar and exhibit information up-to-date," says Dan Agostinelli, director of interactive services at Klunk & Millan. "As the number of smartphone and tablet users continues to rise, it's important for businesses of all types to place their information in the hands of customers or visitors so it's accessible whenever or wherever they need it."

Features of the new app include exhibit listings and previews of featured collections from world-renowned painters, sculptors, photographers, and other artists. The events tab lists upcoming launch parties, special exhibitions, and hands-on workshops. Users can even browse the latest Museum café menu, or instantly connect with Museum staff on Facebook or Twitter.

“Keeping our visitors and members up-to-date with all of the events and exhibitions at the Museum is incredibly important to us,” says Chris Potash, marketing and public relations manager at the Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley. “This app provides our patrons with all the information they need to have an enjoyable visit at the Museum, right at their fingertips.”

Since its launch, the app has been downloaded more than 250 times. Its development was the next step in Klunk & Millan's integrated rebranding strategy for the Museum, which included a logo redesign and the redevelopment of its website, AllentownArtMuseum.org. The new site offers up-to-the-minute event information, educational opportunities, ways to support the Museum, and much more.
